Open Invitation for Faculty Applications

This posting is for the purpose of building a pool of qualified applicants for faculty positions at Derby Academy for the 2022-2023 academic year.

Derby Academy, a Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 8 co-educational day school located in Hingham, Massachusetts, invites all candidates interested in a non-advertised or open teaching position to apply. Some of our specialty areas include STEAM, English, World Languages, Math, History, Physical Education, Health & Athletics, Student Support Services, and Early Childhood Education.

Rooted in the school’s motto, “Improve Both Mind and Heart,” Derby’s faculty provides students with a joyful and rigorous academic environment. A collaborative spirit and a growth mindset are essential for success in any faculty role. The successful candidate will demonstrate a deep awareness of developmentally appropriate practice and their specific content area(s).

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in education, teaching experience, excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated experience and commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive environment, ongoing engagement in professional development, and deep understanding of content area(s) and early and middle childhood required.
